Review of Lauging Saleman NEW

Now this iteration of the laughing salesman was pretty faithful to the original. However, no reboot, continuation, or remake of a classic is safe from having some liberties taken.

1st: The voice differences
Now the the voices are similar in the respect that they keep the darkness surrounding Moguro Fukuzou. Unfortunately, the voice difference is notable when comparing the old anime versus the new anime. It does not hurt the show in any way, but in my opinion a show benefits when it has the original voice actor return to fulfill their role.

2nd: It continues the trend of the old anime
When going in to watch this, do not go in expecting kawaii or eerily realistic anime style. Instead, this is a 90's style in which the characters are kind of cartoony in their appearance. HOWEVER, do not let that subtract from the premise of the show as it actually helps adds a layer of creepiness to the series. It was meant to be shown in this fashion.

Finally: Intros
The old and new anime have a similar intro, the only difference being that the new one has a song called "Don't" by NakamuraEmi. The songs adds another layer of darkness and suspense to the show as it just show weird imagery and follows the main character around.
